King's St Alban's
9 December
Christmas Market offers shopping extravaganza.
On a chilly, frosty evening the King’s St Alban’s Parent Social Group hosted the first ever Christmas Market in the Mulberry Marquee and Café located across the road from King’s St Alban’s on the King’s Worcester site.
Aiming to bring together parents from across the King’s School Worcester Foundation, the Mulberry marquee set the scene for a shopping extravaganza. Crafters from across Worcestershire joined the King’s St Alban’s Parent Social group and set up their colourful, enticing stalls ready to sell their beautifully crafted Christmas gifts – perfect for getting a head start on that Christmas shopping list or topping up those stockings!
Parents, grandparents and extended families and friends browsed the stalls of the Christmas market from stunning jewellery to children’s clothing, from story books to crocheted Christmas trees and from delicious recipe jars to magical Harry Potter wands, there was something for everyone! And when the shopping was done, attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious, warming cup of non-alcoholic mulled wine and a warming mince pie – the perfect way to keep warm on such a chilly evening.
The event culminated with the drawing of the raffle, which included six gloriously tempting Christmas hampers which went to six extremely deserving winners – enjoy! We are hugely grateful to the wider King’s Community who donated such fabulous hamper contributions.
We are delighted that this, the first event of its kind at King’s St Alban’s was such a success with all proceeds being ploughed back into King’s St Alban’s. Thank you to everyone who attended the event and the significant number of volunteers who made the event such a success – we look forward to seeing you al again at next year’s event. In the meantime, don’t forget our next event is the Spring Family Fun Day and Craft Market to be held on Sunday, 14th May – Save the Date; more details to follow.
