Great to see OV James Graham (Os 10-17 & King’s St Alban’s) taking the cover of the latest BW – Business Works Black Country and Worcestershire magazine.
James was the lead feature, discussing his journey from start-up to where he is now and the fantastic strides his company, ODOS Properties, has made since he set it up only two years ago. ODOS, named after the mythical Greek god of property, was borne out of James seeing his parents struggle with selling their home and the difficulties in communicating with the various agents and solicitors. James explains: “ODOS is a software programme I developed to make the selling process more transparent, hassle-free, and cheaper. It’s a dashboard that allows clients and agents across the country to access it.”
Aware that ODOS provided an answer to one aspect of the property selling process, James spotted another significant gap: quality conveyancing services. This led to Montrose Conveyancing, a residential law firm, being established. James added: “ODOS was always set up to be a nationwide estate agency and that is where we are taking it. But did I think I would ever have a property law firm? No.”
In the article, James is very open about the work and effort required to keep his business on track but is relishing being able to keep his entrepreneurial spirit alive: ““I love the fact that I am in control of my own destiny. I love going to work every day; I am learning lessons from all the people I work with.
“People expect a lot and rightly so because you are dealing with people’s biggest asset. There is pressure but that is not a bad thing. Every day when I get in in the morning, I make up a list; the list keeps getting longer.” James added.
Good luck with your business’ continued growth James, and thank you for the nod to King’s Worcester in your article!
