Creative ConneXions 2019

Creative Connexions is a major annual festival of the arts at King’s St. Alban’s. The aim is to give our children a broad opportunity to perform, and to explore contemporary issues within the bounds of an overarching theme.  Two terms of creative work are fused together in a dazzling display of art, dance, music and poetry. In this year's fabulous production entitled 'The Beauty of Change', topics included mental health, the environment, metamorphosis and tempo changes represented by a very special 'Strictly Come Dancing' show. The production was dramatic, entertaining and thought-provoking in equal measure; the audience were impressed by the children's maturity and commitment.

As the children progress through the years at King’s St. Alban’s, they demonstrate an ever- increasing maturity in the way they confront these issues, so that by Year 6 they are performing in all aspects of the tasks to a very high standard. Our oldest pupils’ performances are further enhanced by the opportunity to collaborate with professional dancers.

Congratulations to all the children on their hard work and infectious enthusiasm this year.
