Drama Students put on a Fine Performance
The audience in the Wightman Studio were given a rare treat just before half-term when the Fifth Form GCSE Drama groups gave a public performance of their latest assessment pieces.
These were original devised pieces of theatre from a range of thought-provoking stimuli including Robert Frost’s poem “The Road Not Taken” and Marlowe’s well-known quotation about Helen Troy, “Was this the face that launch’d a thousand ships?”
There were not just compelling performances on display but equally impressive pieces of stagecraft from our student designers covering set, lighting and costume. A lovely way to round off the half-term but also much to anticipate for when they return to the stage in March with their scripted assessments. Well done to all involved.
