Informal Concert 28th June
We held our final concert of the year on Sunday 28th June. Once again, this was a remote event, with fifteen performers playing from their homes to an enthusiastic audience that included parents, grandparents and teachers. It was lovely to see children from all year groups taking part. First performances this time were given by Liang Liang Y and Laura D and we also said goodbye to a number of children for whom this was their last KSA Informal Concert. Juliet G, James D, George G, Ethan T and Ottilie W have all been regular participants in these concerts and we wish them well as they move on to the next stage of their music making.
As ever, the programme was varied in style. The audience enjoyed a few old favourites such as ‘London Bridge’ and ‘Mary had a little lamb’ alongside some exciting film music (‘Double Trouble’ and ‘Goldfinger’) and the beautiful song ‘The Dark Island’. We finished with the toe tapping ‘Czardas’ by Monti. Well done to all our musicians on a super concert to end the year. It’s great to see that the arts are still well and truly alive at King’s St Alban’s.
