We are absolutely delighted to have been given a very generous donation from OV, Mark Haworth (Cl 81-88) to The King’s School Worcester Development Trust. This donation will be used to fund a new pupil who joined The King’s School in September in Lower Fourth and will pay for the child’s education throughout their time at the senior school. Mark has been a wonderful benefactor to King’s in recent years and is already providing financial support to a number of pupils at the School. Mark is particularly keen to support local children in this way and understands that a King’s School education can provide not only academic focus and stretch but also access to a plethora of other extra-curricular opportunities, which in themselves promote self-confidence as well as life-long interests and passions.
One of our Upper Sixth bursary students who left King’s this year, shared her thoughts about her time at the School: “King’s was definitely the perfect place for me, which was something I knew as soon as I joined the School. The academic teaching along with the many extra-curricular activities available gave me an experience that has shaped me into the person I am, and still becoming. I look back at my time at King’s with nothing but fond memories and I am so grateful that I was able to attend a school with such a lovely community and incredible opportunities.”
We are enormously grateful to Mark for his tremendous support of the work of the Development Trust, through his donations in funding pupil bursaries.
King’s Bursaries really do change lives.
