GYM Homework Never Fails To Impress

We have been very impressed with the high quality of work returned after this half term’s GYM Homework weekend.  GYM stands for ‘Grow Your Mind,’ and from the youngest to the oldest pupils in the school, the children excelled themselves.  The classrooms were buzzing with excitement as the children shared their achievements with their friends and teachers.

In true GYM homework style, the projects were varied both in content and in presentation and we were impressed with the creativity of the children.  Baking was a popular choice across the age groups, with the children following recipes for bread, burger baps, cookies, brownies and rainbow cupcakes.  We saw some stunning artwork, including a beautiful oil pastel drawing of a red panda, a model of a seahorse, a model of Buckingham Palace and a beautiful poem entitled ‘The Moon Is..’ which was framed alongside two stunning paintings of the night sky.

Many children also engaged with environmental projects such as calculating carbon footprints, creating an amazing bee hotel for the garden and spotting numbers in nature whilst out for a family walk.

Well done everyone for your hard work and imagination!
