IAPS Swimming 2019

Another fantastic experience for the children, staff and parents. Not sure if they really appreciate the magnitude of their accomplishment of actually qualifying for this event. As they announced at the event, there were over 4000 competitors from over 300 schools who competed in this event. From our small school we managed to be placed in the top 20 for 7 events; with Jess coming 11th she only just missed out on the final. 

The children should be very proud of themselves for their performance on the day. They were all exhausted from their exciting week in France but they showed great grit and determination in the way they competed. I was also very touched when Mrs Woodger was congratulating the boys for their performance in one of the relay events and John replied, 'We couldn't have done it without you Mrs Woodger'. These are the small things that make it worth it!
