Ice Caves and Mountain Trails on the Geography Alps Trip
Towards the end of July the Geography Department took twenty Upper Remove (Year 10) pupils to the French Alps. Days were spent learning about the physical surroundings and included plenty of walking along mountain trails to see the Alpine landscape. Highlights included walking through ice caves carved into the Mer de Glace, taking Europe’s highest cable car to three-thousand eight hundred and forty-two metres and enjoying a number of leisure activities. The pupils were excellent company and worked hard throughout the trip.
