On Thursday night, the children from Year 3 to 6 took part in one of the most memorable nights of the year as the stunning Worcester Cathedral hosted our Carol Service. With over 600 children, parents and staff in attendance, this is one of our biggest events of our year and one to remember. The children sang beautifully. In all, they had learned three challenging new numbers in little over two weeks and performed these with aplomb to an appreciative congregation. Gavin Reid’s Sing Ye Hosanna was a particular highlight as was the Choristers’ rendition of Reger’s Virgin’s Slumber Song. Felix T is to be commended on a wonderful solo in Once in Royal and the sound made by the whole congregation (some parents singing heartily after mulled wine and mince pies in College Hall!) was something to behold during the traditional carols. Our six Year 6 instrumentalists on clarinet, flute and trumpet were flawless and our readers confident and clear. A special night in a special place. Merry Christmas!
