King’s History Department welcomes Governor Andrew Reekes for Sixth Form Lecture

Last week, the History Department was delighted to welcome Andrew Reekes, a Governor and former Head of History at Radley College, to talk to some of the Sixth Form historians. Mr Reekes provided students with an engaging lecture on the relationship between Neville Chamberlain and Winston Churchill and really encouraged students to question the modern perceptions of these two contradictory but almost complementary characters. This provided students with an extension of their existing course, as they currently study Churchill and Britain from 1930 to 1997, as well as the opportunity to experience a university style talk.
