Throughout the month of March, King’s Art Department is going to exhibit ‘A Landscape a Day’, and we want pupils, parents, staff, OVs and friends of King’s to contribute by getting creative.
As we are all currently spending more time in front of screens and less time outside, this initiative set up by the art department is intended to get us outdoors and encourage a little bit of creativity. We are inviting participants to submit up to three landscape drawings, paintings or photographs, the best of which will be published on the art department’s Twitter each day and shown in a virtual 3D exhibition at the end of the month. There will also be prizes on offer for the best overall entries.
Feel free to interpret the term ‘Landscape’ however you wish, the most inventive and creative interpretations will most likely catch the judges’ eye. You might record a family ramble over the Malvern Hills, a solitary walk through the woods, or simply the landscape you can see through your bedroom window. Whether it is a beautiful sunny morning or a cold bleak winter wonderland, get outside, get creative and submit your artwork!
Parents, pupils, staff and friends of King’s can submit work via this link.
With your submission, please also include your name, your connection with the school and a sentence to help us understand a little bit more about the piece. To gain some inspiration from existing artists of different landscape ideas, take a look at some examples on our Firefly page.
Half term will be a great opportunity for everybody to get outdoors and get creative. Get your submissions in before the beginning of March. We look forward to seeing all your creative contributions.
