King’s Hockey Players Progress through to Regional Finals

Well done to the King’s U12A hockey team who were runners-up in their county tournament on Tuesday 6th March. They started strongly against Bromsgrove with a 1-0 victory in which Lucy Wadley scored an excellent goal. In the second game against Malvern St James the girls were excellent, passing the ball easily around the opposition and attacking with pace and purpose. They scored five goals in sixteen minutes, an impressive tally. In the final game against RGS the girls had many chances, but could not beat their goal keeper. Unfortunately, one lapse in concentration led to RGS getting the only goal of the game, but the girls will learn from this as they prepare for the Regional Finals in April. A particular mention goes to Lucy Wadley, who was the top goal scorer of the tournament with four goals.
