Nurseries at King’s Hawford, in north rural Worcester and King’s St Alban’s, in the heart of Worcester City Centre, are both ranked 10 by daynurseries.co.uk. For the past two years our nurseries have won the accolade of being one of the Top 20 nursery groups in the UK. Often described by parents as ‘tranquil gems, with wonderful passionate staff, a variety of activities and a real community feel’, both of our nurseries are well loved by parents. Children are seen skipping daily into nursery with parents commenting on the ‘welcoming and nurturing environment’ and ‘fun-filled educational days’ their children experience.
Working closely with the early years’ teaching teams, the experienced nursery staff stimulate young minds and encourage a love of learning through an exciting programme of free play and teacher-led activities, helping children to thrive while they prepare for their transition to school. Children benefit from a wide range of opportunities including weekly foreign language lessons, music sessions, P.E, yoga and Forest School sessions. Weekly swimming lessons are also included at King’s Hawford nursery.
Located on the King’s Prep School sites, both nurseries benefit from an extensive range of indoor and outdoor facilities for nursery children to enjoy, including exciting forest schools, spacious outdoor gardens and learning zones, early years libraries, stunning purpose-built prep halls and at King’s Hawford the indoor swimming pool.
Sports Day, Grandparents Day, Mystery Reader sessions, Nativities and offsite trips are a few of the special events which take place throughout the year. All our events are extremely popular with parents, children and teachers alike. It is these events that underpin our school community and the memories of which are cherished for years to come.
