King’s St Alban’s Nursery is run by a team of highly qualified nursery practitioners who have a wealth of experience in childcare.
Each child that starts at King’s St Alban’s nursery is allocated a Key Person who acts as the main point of contact for the child and their parents / carers. A close bond forms between children and their Nursery Key Person and it is the Key Person that the child and their parents can go to for advice. We believe that the key worker relationship is pivotal in helping new children settle in nursery into those first few days and even weeks. We are extremely proud of our key worker system.
Part of the role of the key worker is to provide on-going development support and familiarity for the child. An on-going record of each child’s progress is completed by the Key Person. This allows the Key Person to plan appropriate activities to meet each child’s needs. Observations and photographs of each child’s experience are documented in a learning journey. Parents are able to view these at any time.
