The players involved will take part in six training sessions and four competition days at their local academy centres. There are opportunities throughout the year to be selected for Performance Centre, which is the level above.

Many of these pupils are also involved in the Athlete Development Program available here at King’s. This program will supplement their progress as athletes with additional lectures by external speakers, provision of a Level 3 PT instructor and a staff mentor. The aim of the Athlete Development Programme is to provide support for talented individuals – facilitating excellence in both their sporting and academic careers.

Director of Sport, Mrs Miller-Symonds adds “It is brilliant to see so many of our pupils have now got the opportunity to train regularly through the Academy Pathway. Both the girls and boys involved thoroughly deserve this opportunity after their commitment to the sport. Well done and good luck to all those involved!”
