King’s rowers tackle fierce competition on the river

Last Saturday saw many of our rowers tackle tough conditions and fierce competition on the river Severn. The School recorded five terrific wins at the annual Worcester Small Boats Head along with many places across a large field from all around the region.

Our Captain of Boats, Ollie Colebourne (U6), set the standard with a solid win in his single scull event. Other winners were: Will Gorner (L6) and Zak Rawles (L6) in the J17 Double scull; Will also won his J17 Single Scull; The Lower Sixth girls won their quadruple scull event comprising Izzy Copeland, Bea Evans, Anna Jethwa and Amelia Clark; The Upper Remove Girls’ quadruple scull also won their event with Georgina Thorp, Beatrice Beever, Olivia Campbell-Kerr, Anna Fryers coxed by Edward Robins.
