King’s Sixth Form German Students immerse themselves in Berlin Culture

Snow flurries and Christmas markets provided an atmospheric backdrop in Berlin as Lower and Upper Sixth Germanists immersed themselves in the GDR, films, museums, stand-up comedy, a refugee centre and, perhaps most poignantly, the stories of former inmates of a Stasi jail. The ever-vibrant city provided five full days of study and cultural immersion as part of A Level studies including Individual Research Projects which can vary across historic, artistic, architectural, political, geographical, musical, cinematic, literary or other topics.
