Like its older sibling school King’s Worcester, ‘Little King’s’ has a big heart. There’s a lot of emphasis on pastoral care and all the good flows from that: curious, confident and happy children, learning and enjoying a wide range of new experiences in a nurturing, family environment.

The vibe is informal and friendly, but academically strong – not an easy mix to pull off. Good for well-rounded kids – KSA fosters a can-do attitude and won’t pigeon-hole your child as just sporty or arty. If you want a Prep-with-benefits education you’re in luck, the school shares all the facilities of a top Senior School. Anyone wanting a supportive school with a strong pastoral scene.

A happy, city centre school best suited to an academic child. Excels at celebrating individuality. ‘My child went from someone who put her hands over her ears in pre-school to coming here where, six months in, she’s oozing confidence – it has completely changed her for the better,’ said a parent.

If you want to experience the culture of King’s St Alban’s in a nutshell, just talk to the receptionist. ‘She’ll find a solution to every problem, she’s ultra-friendly and kindness rules – and that pretty much sums up the school,’ said a parent. Turns out they’re spot on, and there was certainly no shortage of big-heartedness and a can-do attitude among pupils we met too.
