Frequently Asked Questions

What co-curricular activities does your school offer?

We run a variety of clubs and activities that happen either before school, during lunchtime, or as part of our wrap-around care after school.

More than 35 clubs and activities are on offer for our children, ranging from sports, including netball, swimming, and football, to drama, knitting, chess, and IT.

The majority of clubs are free of charge and are run by our teaching staff. Some clubs are run by external agencies (such as karate and gymnastics) which incur a small, termly charge.

Our comprehensive programme of clubs and activities really does offer something for everyone, and provides a fantastic opportunity for pupils to discover new passions or to indulge in a favourite activity or pastime. We regularly review our list of clubs and activities and we are always looking for new new ideas to enhance the programme.

What class sizes do you teach?

Class sizes are small, allowing personalised learning and providing the perfect opportunity for children to have fun and to learn creatively.

Our dedicated teachers foster a love of learning and a grounding in learning skills. Children are supported, nurtured and challenged in the safe environment of the classroom.

We like to offer class sizes which are small enough for teaching staff to know each child individually, while offering a world of opportunity with our vast curriculum and co-curricular activities.

Can my child pursue their passions (such as music, drama or sports) as part of the school curriculum?

Creativity plays a huge part in making King’s St Alban’s the vibrant place it is, and the arts play a central role in life at the school. Music, art, dance, and drama feature in the curriculum for all age groups and specialist music lessons are available.

Many of our children achieve success in external performance examinations and children from King’s St Alban’s regularly receive music scholarships on entry to King’s Worcester.

Equally, every pupil at King’s St Alban’s is encouraged to get involved and find their passion on the sports field. The range of sports at the school enables all pupils to find something which they really enjoy and in which they can do well.

Do you cater for my child's dietary requirements?

We can cater for any dietary requirement your child might have. Lunchtime is a wonderful time for children to relax together and enjoy a tasty, cooked meal. All meals are cooked on the premises and include an extensive range of delicious hot or cold options.

What wrap-around care do you offer?

At King’s St Alban’s we understand that many of our parents lead busy lives and we recognise the need to provide an extended day for the children. We therefore offer excellent, fee-inclusive, supervised, wrap-around care before and after school.

Late Club does not need to be booked and for children not involved in an after-school club activity, they will be looked after in our Late Room.
