King’s Students Enjoy Easter in France
Upper Remove (Year 10) and Lower Sixth students of French spent a week enjoying the sunshine in France during the Easter holidays. While the Upper Sixth spent two days on a work-experience placement, the Upper Remove studied Physics and Spanish in French, enjoyed the fact that there are no lessons on a Wednesday afternoon in French schools, and learning how to play bourle.
As always, our French hosts were welcoming, and activities with host families ranged from a tour of Paris, to swimming in a host family’s pool, a lengthy Easter Sunday lunch and Easter egg hunt, or a French baptism.
All the King’s students spoke plenty of French with their families and we are looking forward to the return visit of our friends from Cysoing and Genech later on this half term.
