King’s Students raise money for WaterAid & The Plastic Soup Foundation

Our annual ‘Green Day’ has raised £460.00 for the charity WaterAid and £920.00 for the Plastic Soup Foundation (our funds for the latter charity will be doubled through the generosity of the Bransford Trust).

Activities included a non-uniform day with the theme of blue and green, a cake sale and a stall of pencil cases and head-phone cases made by the Sixth Form Charity Committee and the Removes Charity Committee by recycling plastic bottles.  As well as supporting the work of these excellent charities, we hope we have raised awareness of the dangers of single-use plastics in our oceans and the value of water as a precious resource.
