Introducing the King’s Worcester Parents’ Committee
The Parents’ Committee organises a variety of events throughout the year to help raise funds for particular school projects and local charities. A group of about fifteen parents and some senior members of the school’s staff get together during the year to organise events such as the School Fête, the Parents’ Ball, and the Quiz Night.
Each year we raise thousands of pounds, which contribute towards important projects, as well as making donations to local charities. Projects funded have included furnishing the Sixth Form centre, the climbing wall and adventure playground at King’s St Alban’s, the composition of a piece of music to celebrate the school’s 475th anniversary, together with some portable staging and PA systems. School projects are chosen that will enhance the existing provision of facilities and equipment, providing enriching enhancements for the benefit of the pupils.
If you would like to get involved in any way we would be delighted to hear from you. Don’t worry, it doesn’t mean you will have to attend endless meetings! We need practical help for each event and a couple of hours of your time would be more than enough to make a difference.
