KSA Mission 220: Severn Stride & Splash

What an incredible few days it has been at King’s St Alban’s! Our pupils from Reception to Year 6 came together to run and swim the equivalent of 220 miles, the full length of the River Severn and what a performance it was! From our youngest Nursery swimmers to our energetic Prep runners, every child gave their all, with all meeting and most smashing their individual targets and contributing to a truly amazing team effort.

Highlights included our Nursery pupils swimming so well, Pre Prep racing around our sports hall, Years 3 and 4 braving wet and windy conditions to keep the miles ticking over and Years 5 and 6 showing determination in the pool,. Along the way, our pupils not only demonstrated incredible teamwork, resilience and enthusiasm, but also showed that with a little perseverance, even the biggest challenges can be conquered!

Director of Sport Mr Hooman expressed his delight; “I am so proud of every single child this week, from the nursery children who added their metres in the pool at the start of the week to the Year 5 and 6 pupils who finished it off at the end. These events bring us together and truly show the strength of the KSA family. The children have demonstrated real determination and resilience, digging deep when things got tough. Well done to everyone!”

We are thrilled to support the Canal & River Trust, helping to maintain and protect the UK’s waterways for people and wildlife alike. A huge thank you to everyone for your encouragement and support, it has made this challenge even more special. Please remember to bring in your sponsorship money, and thank you in advance for helping us make a real difference.

Congratulations, KSA you have made waves, made miles, and made us all incredibly proud!
