This week we are delighted to have even more superb OV graduation stories to share. It is wonderful to hear about the different career paths OVs follow and we wish our new OV graduates all the best as they start the next chapter of their careers.
Amelia Martyn-Smith (Br 08-15)
Having graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2018 with a degree in Zoology, I then took a year out and worked part time whilst gaining work experience at a Rural Surveyors. This then led me to apply for a Masters in Rural Estate and Land Management at Harper Adams University, which I have just completed and I am looking forward to starting my new job in September.
I found that completing a Masters created many more career opportunities and I can’t recommend Harper Adams enough – they were brilliant throughout the process. Although rural surveying was not a career I thought about at school, I am excited to get started!
Jacob Ham (Cl 09-16)
I was thrilled to have graduated from Loughborough University, achieving a 2:1 in Geography. I have since signed a contract with Chinnor Rugby Club in National League 1 with the intention of working and playing rugby for a year, before enrolling as a Royal Marines Officer for September 2021 entry.
James Green (Ch 09-16)
After leaving King’s in 2016, I stayed local and studied for a BA(Hons) in Sports Business Management degree at the University of Worcester. After finishing my Undergraduate degree in 2019, I am now approaching the end of my Master’s degree programme in International Sports Management, in which I have been able to further explore a fast paced and fascinating industry, as well as undertake an internship with an International Sports Business Consultant. I enjoyed my time at university and I am looking forward to the next stage of my career.
