It was wonderful to celebrate the achievements of a number of choristers on Sunday 6th December at two services in the cathedral. Felix Tunnell and Toby Auty begin their time as Head Choristers in the Cathedral Choir, signifying extremely high levels of musical attainment, and carrying a responsibility to encourage and inspire all members of the choir. Meanwhile, Ollie Perkins and David Marlow have become the first-ever Head Choristers Emeriti, recognising their continuing service and commitment to the choir following their period as Head Choristers. At Evensong three probationers were promoted to be full members of the choir. Benedict Roberts, Jack Taranczuk and George Holmes now wear their surplice which indicates that they have completed their period of training in the choir, and are now ready to become full members. Many congratulations to these and all our choristers, who have done wonderfully well over what has been a challenging year. Bravo!
