Pre-Prep Raise Money for Maggs Day Centre

After the kind donation of some beautiful knitted chicks, complete with hollow, chocolate eggs, the Pre-Prep Department decided to launch a charity appeal.  After careful discussions about the different types of charities and a class vote, the children of  Year 2 felt that Maggs Day Centre was the charity that they would like to raise money for.

Pre-Prep loved the opportunity to purchase the charming chicks and they sold very quickly. It was made all the more enjoyable knowing that they were raising money for a very worthwhile cause.

Nursery also joined in with the fundraising with a mufti day on Wednesday. The children loved choosing their own clothes to wear and they were keen to participate in an Easter egg-stravaganza! They started the day making Easter egg baskets ready for the hunt around the Early Years garden. They all did a fantastic job working as a team, finding as many eggs as they could and sharing brilliantly with their friends.

In the afternoon they made some delicious Easter egg nest cakes using corn flakes and melted chocolate. They all took part in egg and spoon races outdoors, trying really carefully not to drop their eggs as they raced across the garden! All the children have had great fun taking part in the many creative activities this week and had so many lovely things to take home with them.

By the end of the week Pre-Prep and Nursery had raised just over £100! We are so proud of their fantastic efforts.
