Opening the Doors to King’s

We are so excited to share the news that we have received a major donation from OV Mark Haworth (Cl 81-88) to support King’s Bursary Programme. Mark has made some incredibly generous donations in recent years, which support a number of pupils currently studying at King’s.

Mark’s donations are examples of how an early investment in a child’s education can have a long-lasting and significant influence on their future lives. King’s can provide stability, academic stretch and pastoral support for children who attend King’s by way of a bursary.

As one of our former bursary pupils told us, “staying at King’s gave me continuity and stability when there was a lot of change in my life, and I’ll always be grateful for that.”

She went on to say, “I left King’s with a well-rounded set of skills and interests and I remain one of the many OVs who appreciate the generosity of bursary donors. A King’s education set me up for a successful future because it gave me self-confidence, leadership skills, an appetite for learning and a wonderful group of close friends.”

King’s Development Director, Liz Elliott, added, “We are enormously grateful to Mark for his continued financial support as well as his recognition of the important part that our bursaries play in the lives of both the School and the individuals who receive them.”
