Many congratulations to OV Zack Pemberton-Whiteley (K 04-11) who has just been appointed as Chief Executive of Leukaemia Care. Zack joined the Leukaemia Care in 2014 and most recently held the post of Director of Patient Advocacy where he led the charity’s range of advocacy and patient support functions.
Leukaemia Care is a national blood cancer charity dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support.
Chris Matthews-Maxwell, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Leukaemia Care, said: ‘We are thrilled to announce Zack as our new CEO. Zack has worked tirelessly in his previous role at the charity to ensure that Leukaemia Care is at the forefront of patient support here in the UK and we now look forward to seeing what further impact he will have as CEO”.
Zack said: “The work of Leukaemia Care has never been more important. So, whilst it is a difficult time for the charity sector, my role is to help Leukaemia Care navigate the challenges ahead and to ensure we can do even more for the people affected by blood cancer. Working at Leukaemia Care over the last six years has been a privilege. I have had the chance to meet many people affected by blood cancer and learn about the impact it has on them. I want to thank everyone who has and continues to support the work of the charity.
I am delighted to be taking up the position of Chief Executive and am keen to ensure that the patient voice remains at the forefront of Leukaemia Care’s work, as we seek to do even more to improve the lives of people affected by blood cancer.”
