OV is Pressing Up for Pounds

OV Tom Austin’s (Br 12-14) grandfather died from Lymphoma 10 years ago. To mark the occasion, and honour his grandfather, Tom has set himself an incredible challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

Telling us about his plans and challenge Tom explained: “Cancer Research UK does an amazing job trying to combat a truly horrible disease, and needs as much support as we can provide. I have always been into sport, but having had my own challenges in 2020, I wanted to find something that would truly push me and make the challenge worthy of donations. As such, I will be attempting to perform 100 press-ups per day, preferably in one go, every day in May.”

We have been incredibly inspired and impressed to see many OVs setting impressive and exciting challenges for themselves during lockdown and also raising money for so many worthy causes and charities. A huge well done and good luck to Tom.

Tom was heavily involved with sport at school, having been part of both the 1st XV Rugby and 1st XI Football teams, as well as a School Monitor.

If you would like to learn more about Tom’s challenge please email alumni@ksw.org.uk and we will put you in touch.
