OV Louise Gwilliam visits KSA

On Wednesday, Louise Gwilliam visited KSA to talk to the Year 6 children about her life as a BBC sports journalist.  Louise left King’s in 2010 and, after a French degree, embarked on her dream job in sport.  She currently works in rugby and is off to Portugal at the weekend to cover the England rugby squad’s training camp.  Louise has interviewed a number of big names including David Beckham and Eddie Jones.  When asked to name the England women’s football captain, none of the children knew, whereas many knew Harry Kane is the men’s captain.  This is something Louise is keen to change.  She is often the only female rugby reporter at press conferences of 60 journalists.  Louise is passionate about sports for all and especially girls.  Her interview with Mr Chapman was very well received and there were lots of interesting questions at the end.
