OV Rowing News

What a pleasure it is to hear news of our OV rowers being back on the water! We were especially pleased to hear of Alex Wenyon’s (Cr 07-14) recent win at Marlow Regatta, in the Tier Two Eights in which she coxed with her crew (and Covid bubble) from Molesey Boat Club.

Alex shared with us, “It was fantastic to be back racing in a side by side multi lane format. The last time we were racing in this format was two years ago so it is great to finally be out racing again. I look forward to watching Henley Women’s and hope to take part in Henley Royal Regatta.”

OV Rowing News Alex Wenyon

During her time at King’s, Alex was Captain of Boats and hence a very keen and active member of the Boat Club, rowing for the 1st VIII amongst a number of other activities, into which she threw herself during her time at School; she was Head of Creighton House and took part in Young Enterprise, she was a member of the Dance Company and took part in a number of dramatic productions and enjoyed being a member of the Charity Committee. A very impressive use of her time at King’s, alongside her A level studies in Business, Drama and Classics. Now Alex works as a Campaign Management Controller at Nissan Motor GB.
