OV wins Watts Prize

Congratulations to OV Phoebe Groves (Ch 13-15) who has just been awarded the Watts Prize for joint first place worldwide for the Audit and Assurance Professional Level ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) exam.

Phoebe has been studying towards the ACA qualification as part of the One Deals Graduate programme at PwC where she works in Corporate Finance. Phoebe’s graduate role at PwC followed a summer internship with the firm during her time at the University of Oxford where she studied chemistry.

Phoebe says, “I’m absolutely over the moon to have been awarded the Watts Prize having achieved the joint first highest mark worldwide in the Audit & Assurance exam as part of my ACA studies. After a very intense period in college ahead of the exams this September, I am very proud to have received such excellent results in my AA (Audit and Assurance), FAR (Financial Accounting and Reporting), and BST (Business Strategy and Technology) exams, and appearing on the Orders of Merit has been a wonderful surprise.

Given my heavy involvement with Oxford Women in Business back at University; the prize seems all the more special given it is in memory of Miss Ethel Watts, the first woman to be admitted to membership of the ICAEW (Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales) in 1924.”
