OVs Golfing for a Good Cause

With the gentle lifting of lockdown restrictions, it has been a pleasure to hear of OVs getting active and getting together again.

On 21 June 2021, OVs Oliver Kitching (Os 02-09), James Wood (Cl 03-10), and Jack Longley (Ch 02-09) will be donning their spikes, grabbing their clubs, and hitting the green to raise money for St. Richard’s Hospice.

The trio, friends since their King’s Worcester days, are aiming to complete 72 holes of golf in one day. They will tee off at 4:50am at The Worcestershire Golf Club in Malvern, starting their journey of over 20 miles (or 60,000 steps) for the four rounds needed to meet their challenge.

In order to help keep the trio motivated, they will be joined by guests throughout the day, including King’s Worcester teacher and Hon OV Andrew Longley.

Jack added: “We are delighted to support such a fantastic cause and thank you to everyone who has made a donation!”

OVs Golfing

We’d like to wish Oliver, James, and Jack all the best for what will be a long day but for a great cause.
