Oxford Union Schools’ Debating Competition

Many congratulations to Will  and Charlie for their excellent performance in the recent finals of the Oxford Union Schools’ Debating Competition. The boys competed against one hundred other schools from all over the world and, although they didn’t quite make the semi-finals, gained some fantastic experience for the future. This success was followed on Tuesday by the final of this year’s inter-house debating competition on the motion, This house would ban faith schools. Will Hunt and Wilfy George led the proposition for Choir, and were narrowly beaten by Henry James and Will Hood representing Wulstan. Our thanks go to OV Tom Kelly for returning to judge the competition; well done to all those who took part, both in the final and in earlier rounds.
