Performance Opportunities Abound for Hawford Children

Entries are open for this event which continues to be a fantastic platform for performers and creative writers of all ages, experiences, and abilities to showcase their talents. There are many opportunities for schools and young people to get involved, from choirs, singing workshops and music groups, to drama and musical theatre groups, to poetry and short story writing. Entry  for creative writing is free of charge. Musical Theatre weekend is on 28^th Feb/1st March. There is a 5-week course starting this weekend for children aged 8-12 who are interested in all aspects of music production. They will be composing with sounds from their environment to create an original 90-second piece of music. Exploring musical elements over the five-week project, the children will compose solo, duo and team pieces using Logic Pro. In the final week, parents are invited to Severn Arts’ offices to hear the finished work and discover their creative journeys.

Are you aged 9 -19 and love to sing? You can audition for free for the NCCGB. Booking for auditions for their 2026 courses is now open. Due to kind donations from the NCCGB community, the auditions are free of charge. They only charge residential course fees and do not charge a joining fee.
