Plenty of Performances from the King’s Musicians

The final week before exam season begins has been a busy one for the King’s music department. There was plenty of music-making at the fête with performances from The King’s Swingers and various Sixth Form musicians including Hollie Avery and Alfred Annable, Ben Wadley, Georgie Lewis and the Sixth Form band Blackout. Tuesday saw the final School Concert of the year featuring our main ensembles in College Hall and was an excellent occasion. Possibly for the first time the Wind Band performed during a school service in the Cathedral during the Eve of Ascension Day service and proved to be very popular and they will return next year. The final musical event of a busy three days was the Young Performers’ Concert showcasing the talent in the Fourth Form (Years 7 & 8) and Lower Remove (Year 9).
