Pupils enjoy pantomime …. oh no they didn’t!

This morning, all of the Pre-Prep children, together with Year 3, excitedly boarded a coach destined for the Swan Theatre in Worcester. The children were full of energy and enthusiasm to see the pantomime of Beauty and the Beast. Performed by the Worcester Repertory Company,  the tale as old as time promised to be an utterly spellbinding family pantomime.
It was a very exciting start to the day because as soon as we had taken the register we set off for the coach! The coach journey was short and in no time at all the children has arrived at the theatre. On entering the theatre, the children were keen to take their seats ahead of the performance. They were delighted to discover that the seats were right in the middle of the theatre, so that they could see everything.
The show started and the children sat enraptured by the colourful costumes, lights and singing. Before long, we met Madame Bon Bon, who wanted to know if we spoke French. Mrs Stenson was of course, able to help and was a very good sport to be singled out of the audience! Thank you Mrs Stenson.
At the interval the children enjoyed a special chocolate treat and an excitable discussion with their peers before settling done to watch the second half. After the show had finished and the final bows had been taken, we headed back to school. The coach was full of chatter, giggles and laughter; it is safe to say they had enjoyed the show.
Arriving back at school, the children tucked into a picnic lunch. It was a memorable morning and everyone had a super time- oh no they didn’t!
