Review of the Week: Autumn Term Week 11

It has been another busy and productive week here at King’s Hawford meaning that there was plenty to celebrate in our weekly Celebration Assembly this morning.

Subject Merits:

A number of students were acknowledged for receiving Subject Merits. Well done to the following:

Year 1: Alex V, Aoife W, Blake H-S, Brax B, Georgina N, Isla H, Sadie G, Tanith H and Yaseen A.

Year 2: Cassian W and Ffion W.

Year 3: Annie W and India B.

Year 4: Arthur A, Arthur O, Barnaby J, Chloe T, Elizabeth N, James B, Jess K, Josiah K-E, Lyra H, Oliver G, Olivia G, Pippa P and Thomas C.

Year 5: Annabel J, Ava W, George M, George O, Holly J, Rhys M, Robyn G, Sofia E and William N.

Headmaster Awards:

This week Mr Butt has once again had plenty of visitors to the ‘Basket of Brilliance‘. William K (Y1) was commended for his brilliant use of adjectives in a piece on Room on the Broom and Rupert C (Y1) has produced some fantastic work in maths, working very carefully to complete addition work correctly. In Year 4 Chloe T and Pippa were awarded HMAs for their brilliant rainforest artwork.

After the brilliant Dance Showcase last week a number of pupils were recognised for their contribution. The following were awarded HMA’s for being Miss Lusted’s Stars of the Class:

Pupils have continued with their efforts on TT Rockstar, all working hard to improve or progress their status.

It is always wonderful to gather together to celebrate the achievements of our pupils. We enjoy hearing about successes both in school and away from school. This week Madeline P (Y1) shared her dance triumphs from last weekend with her peers. Having competed in her Dance Finals last week Madeline achieved 4 first place positions in ballet, lyrical, tap duet and open singing. This is an amazing achievement – well done Madeline. Thank you for sharing your success with us.

Pre-Prep Praise Assembly

This week Star of the Week certificates were awarded to:

Fifi S and Elizabeth D in Reception. Elizabeth impressed Miss Lane with her loud and clear voice as a shepherd in the Nativity. In Year 1 Alex V has worked hard to improve the presentation of his work and Bonnie W has been working hard on her handwriting. Evelyn J has shown some good resilience in maths this week whilst Elizabeth C was congratulated for her excellent singing and dancing in the Nativity.

Behaviour awards were presented to Florence J (Rec), Frank M (Y1) and Ellie M (Y2).
