Review of the week: Autumn Term Week 8

As pupils filed into The Barn for Celebration Assembly this morning they were treated to some live music courtesy of our Senior Choir. The members of Senior Choir have been busy rehearsing ahead of this afternoon’s Lights of Love Service at Worcester Cathedral. Once the whole school was seated the choir gave a moving performance of Adele’s Go Easy on Me. It was a truly beautiful performance, well done Senior Choir!

Mrs Knight took charge of today’s assembly and kicked off proceedings by praising those who have received subject merits this week. Well done to Alex V, Alfie P, Aoife W, William K, Bonnie W, Brax B, Chester L, Ellis N, Emily G, Frank O’M, Noah P, Perle Y, Rupert C, Tanith H and William C in Year 1. Amelie B, Aurelia A, Bruce W, Cassian W, Eleanor N, Ellie H, Evelyn J, Fearne B, Georgia P, Sophia R and Tom H in Year 2. Arthur O, Chloe T, Elizabeth N and Shann G in Year 4. George M, Harriet B, Samuel M, Sam and Sofia in Year 5. Erin L, Jack M, Johnnie T and Michelle Z in Year 6.

Several pupils have been awarded the newly named Headmaster’s Awards (HMAs) and have enjoyed a trip to Mr Butt’s office. Bonnie and Brax in Year 1 received HMAs for their superb re-writing of the story of Jack & The Beanstalk whilst Emily and Tanith received their HMAs for their excellent weaving in art this week.

Year 2 pupils Eleanor N, Elise M, Fearne B and Simi H all received HMAs for their brilliant paintings of soft toys!

This week Top House Point Achiever certificates were awarded to:

Archie G (Rec), Ellis N (Y1), Cassian W (Y2), India B (Y3), Iza M-P (Y4), Holly J (Y5) and Barnaby B (Y6).

We are only a week into the second half of the Autumn Term but Mrs Knight was able to award 12 Activity Badges this morning! Well done to Freddie M, who has earnt his King’s Hawford Badge, his MFL Badge and his Science Badge. Johnnie T was awarded his King’s Hawford Badge and his Science Badge. Jack M and Arya P received their MFL Badge. Khaleefah G-F was awarded his Music Badge and Thomas C, Elliot C, Annie W and Jasper P all received their Reading Badge!

Assembly finished with hymn My God is so Big which was superbly signed by Miss Collins. It was wonderful to see all of the pupils and teachers singing and signing along!

Pre-Prep Praise Assembly

On Friday afternoon pupils from Reception to Year 2 came together for their weekly Praise Assembly. This week Star of the Week certificates were awarded to Gracie D (Rec) for saying her lines for the Nativity with far more confidence. Isla H (Y1) has tried really hard in maths this week. Ellie M and Josh (Y2) were both commended for their excellent efforts in the tests this week. Ellie demonstrated improved listening skills and Josh has been a fabulous Ox! Elliott (Rec) has come into school with a smile every day and has been trying really hard this week.

Manners certificates were awarded to Isaac (Y2) and Rupert (Y1).
