King's Hawford
18 November
Review of the Week: Autumn Term Week 9
This morning saw Mr Butt take control of his very first Celebration Assembly! He started by welcoming Dr Dorsett to King’s Hawford, explaining that Dr Dorsett is the King’s Worcester Foundation Chaplain. Dr Dorsett will become a familiar face for our pupils as they continue their King’s journey.
Thomas C (Y5) then treated everyone to a tranquil piece of music on the piano. He played Indigo by Paul Harris and impressed with his note-perfect performance. We wish Thomas well with his exam next week.
Continuing with the music theme, Mrs Hughes took her place at the piano and led the School in hymn. Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer is a firm favourite at King’s Hawford and the children sang with plenty of enthusiasm, almost raising the roof on The Barn.
There have been plenty of Subject Merits awarded this week, so many in fact that Mr Butt had to split the recipients into two batches for the rounds of applause today! Well done to the following for their excellent effort this week:
