Rugby Lessons for OV Head of School

It was fantastic to see OV James Smalley (Br 10-17) at King’s this week, whom many of you will know from his time as Head of School in 2017.

Remarking on his visit, Liz Elliott, Development Director, said: “It is always a real pleasure to catch up with James and so we were delighted that he popped in to see us this week in the Alumni Relations Office, whilst he was back at King’s assisting training with the 1st XV rugby team.

“It was great to hear what James has been up over the last year and it is evident that he continues to embrace life, despite the impact of COVID on all our lives.

“James is still very much involved with rugby at Loughborough University and so he was thoroughly enjoying being back at King’s for the day, working with the 1st XV and Mr Mason, Foundation Director of Sport.”

James was also able to meet Headmaster, Gareth Doodes – shown here with James – during his day visit to King’s.
