I took 11 very keen Year 6 pupils to the Schools Against Sepsis Tag Rugby Tournament at Sixways last Sunday. This is something we wanted to support after one of our senior pupils was seriously ill last year with sepsis and she is a very strong rugby player. We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather, although it was chilly the sun shone all day. It was a delight to spend a Sunday with this group of pupils and their parents. They played in a round robin in the morning and they demonstrated some excellent skills and the girls were complimented by the boys for their fast running with the ball. All the children shone and the camaraderie between them was rewarded as they were picked to then play on the main Sixways pitch in a demonstration match against RGS The Grange.
This was a great experience for all of us and I was very proud of our group of children.
