King’s Hawford Shines at Swimming Gala
Seventeen Year 5 and 6 children from King’s Hawford took to the pool for a thrilling swimming gala at Blue Coat School, competing against both the hosts and Walsall Preparatory School. The event was packed with excitement as the young swimmers showcased their skills and determination in a highly competitive atmosphere.
Among the standout moments was James B’s spirited performance in the 50m front crawl, where he led the charge despite an issue with his goggles. Other impressive swims came from Pippa P, George C, and Zara O, each securing second place in their respective races. Charlotte F demonstrated remarkable resilience in the 50m butterfly, earning a well-deserved third place against tough competition.
Special recognition goes to Daisy E, Arthur G, Pippa P, and Harry G for taking on the demanding individual medley, swimming 100m across all four strokes with determination and grit.
