King's Hawford

23 February

Starting as they mean to go on

Today’s assembly started with a very special visitor: Old Hawfordian, Noah DP, is currently a Fifth Form pupil at the King’s Senior School, but returned to King’s Hawford today to tell us about his burgeoning career as a footballer. Many teachers and former pupils will remember Noah as a keen and talented sportsman.

Since leaving King’s Hawford, Noah has continued to excel at sport. He played academy-level football whilst at King’s Hawford, and is currently signed with West Bromwich Albion, where he plays for their U16 and U18 teams. Noah has recently made his international debut, playing in the U17 FIFA World Cup in Indonesia for New Zealand. Today, Noah presented us with a New Zealand shirt to commemorate his first international cap. Noah also took the time to speak to our pupils about his sporting journey and the impact his time at King’s Hawford has had on him. He believes that King’s Hawford set the tone for his enjoyment of sport and it is safe to say that Noah’s visit has inspired the next generation of sports stars.

House Quiz

Earlier in the week, pupils from Year One to Year Six took part in the House Quiz. This was a fantastic occasion, and it was wonderful to see the scope of the children’s general knowledge.
The Pre-Prep Kinver House children have completed an impressive achievement, gaining the highest House score in Pre-Prep. However, once the results were added across the school, it was Clent who clinched the victory!
1st Clent
