Teechers – a Remove Play

The Removes Drama Club performed John Godber’s Teechers in the last week of half term to appreciative audiences in the Wightman Studio. The talented ensemble cast played the disaffected pupils and teachers at a struggling comprehensive school ‘somewhere in England’. This was a humorous piece with a big heart which exposed, at the end, the teenagers’ sadness at having to leave school despite their youthful irreverence throughout Teechers. The whole group worked superbly well together and created a memorable piece of theatre.  A special mention should go to Louisa K. who stepped into the role of Hobby at short notice and who learned all of her lines in an impressive two days!
