Nursery News Round-up:
It has been a busy week in nursery with many new children starting their King’s journey with us. We have thoroughly enjoyed meeting new families and making new friends. Read on for our Nursery news round-up.
We have been thinking about holidays and using our imaginations to indulge in some virtual travel. The children have enjoyed packing their suitcases considering all the things they would need to take on a trip. The children delighted in building a pretend aeroplane and lining up chairs for a special train trip. Once the train was ready we sped across to France where we tried pain au chocolates and croissants at snack time. Whilst in France, Mrs Stenson, taught our Swan children colour names in French whilst our younger Cygnet children painted some beautiful French flags
Some of our friends have celebrated Eid this week and we are very grateful to Mikaeel and his family who shared some special sweets with us.
In our weekly Forest School session the children took part in a bug hunt! Using magnifying glasses they searched the Forest School area for mini beasts. This was a very popular activity and all of the children enjoyed looking under logs and stones for bugs!
The focus in PE this week was travel and movement. We looked at how we can mover over, under, in and out of equipment. A lot of balance and coordination was required. We finished off our PE session with a spot of mindfulness which adds a sense of calm to our busy day.
We have finished the week with some running games in the garden and a lovely French biscuit to take home.
Well done Nursery, Tres Bon! Next week I think we’ll be visiting Spain!
