Following our recent Foundation-wide Transport Survey, we are delighted to share information on our new proposed transport network, launching for pupils in Year 3 upwards.

We will be offering five new routes from Tuesday 7th September which will be fulfilled by King’s minibuses and driven by King’s employed minibus drivers, our partnered Taxi company Severn Taxis, or our partnered coach company, Commandery Coaches. Proposed Timings

Morning collection times will be confirmed in due course. All buses will leave from school at 1715hrs.

Reserve your child’s place

To allow us to confirm these routes, we are asking parents to provisionally reserve places before the 16th June 2021. You can do so following the link below. Pupils using existing King’s provided transport routes will receive priority but should still reserve a place below.

Places on our school transport network are available on a termly basis for 5 days a week. However, places can be shared between two families. For example, if your child uses the route in the morning, you are able to share that place (and cost) with another family whose child will use only the return journey.

Please note those already on the King’s Hawford to King’s Senior Shuttle Service do not need to reserve a place.

Reserve a Place

Places on our school transport network are available on a termly basis and for 5 days a week, however places can be shared between two families. For example, if your child uses the route in the morning, you are able to share that place (and cost) with a friend whose child will use only the return journey. You can indicate this preference on the reservation form.

Frequently Asked Questions

My child is at King’s Hawford, can I use the bus network?

You can use any of the bus networks. The Hagley Route will stop at King’s Hawford. All other routes will go to King’s Senior and then pupils will have the option to join the King’s Senior to King’s Hawford Shuttle Service (subject to demand).

Can I reserve a one-way only journey?

Due to the infancy of this network, seats will need to be reserved for both ways. However, subject to demand this may be reviewed. Please see the information above on reserving your place and the option to share a place with a friend.

Can I request fewer than 5 days?

The cost for the transport service will be per child/per term, irrespective of the number of journeys your son/daughter takes and payment will be set up via School Gateway.

There is an option to share a place with a friend, please see the information above and indicate this on your reservation submission if you would to do so.

Will my child be met at the King’s school drop off points?

All minibuses will drop children off on the school site. Coaches will continue to drop on King’s Street.

All children who go to King’s St Alban’s and King’s Hawford will be met by a member of staff and chaperoned to their respective schools. King’s Senior pupils will be able to make their own way to classes. However new pupils will be met by a member of staff during their transition period.

What time will the transport return?

All buses will leave school at 5:15pm. Morning collection times will be confirmed in due course

How will you take payment for the transport?

Payment for our transport provision is made via Schoolgateway.
