U10 Inter-House Cricket

On Wednesday we played the first round of the Year 5 Inter-House cricket. We were very impressed with the camaraderie and encouragement that the pupils had in their teams. Piers particularly impressed me with how he helped his team, organising the fielders and being very positive with his batting partner. Mr Benham was amased at the 6 that Arabella scored. There was some outstanding fielding by Arthur M. Rupert did some excellent batting and running between the wickets, aided by his partner Harriet.

Bailey beat Armstrong 91 runs to 72 runs. Thomas and Wilson tied with 111 runs each! To decide which house would go through to the final we had a 'bowl off'. James D was the hero who hit the stumps, taking Wilson through to the final.

It was such an excellent display of cricket and the staff were very impressed by the effort of all the children.
