Under 11 Compete at IAPS Cricket Festival

The Under 11 boys from King’s Hawford delivered a superb performance at the prestigious IAPS Cricket Festival hosted by Millfield Prep School, finishing in an impressive third place overall.

Over the course of five fiercely contested matches, the team showcased their skill, determination, and team spirit. They secured victories against Kingswood School, Hazlegrove, and Bristol Grammar School. The final match against Bristol Grammar was a nail-biting encounter that ultimately sealed their third-place finish — a testament to the boys’ resilience and composure under pressure.

There were several standout performances throughout the day. Henry K was exceptional with both bat and ball, consistently contributing to the team’s success. Charles C impressed behind the stumps with his brave and energetic wicketkeeping, while Finn M-P’s batting was a highlight of the festival, showing consistency and flair in every game. All the boys deserve enormous credit for their attitude and perseverance throughout the day and they should all be very proud of their achievements.

Mr Cook commented ‘The boys deserve huge credit for this fantastic achievement at the IAPS cricket tournament. They played super cricket all day and improved as the tournament progressed.’
